Gail Temple

A traditional weaving class at the University of Washington and a sister who became, for a time, a self-supporting tapestry artist, helped begin my tapestry weaving career in 1970.  Love of textiles, design, color and the whole weaving process developed over the years, with many classes, workshops and book-inspired self instruction helping to hone my skills.  I have done commissions, speculative pieces, have won awards and sold many pieces.  My tapestries have measured several feet down to several inches.  I enjoy dealing with many different subject matter from landscapes to abstracts and love using muted colors as well as screaming brights.  Tapestry weaving is an addiction and a life-long love.
